Blepharitis is a chronic, inflammatory disease of the eyelids. Anyone can get blepharitis at any age, but the prevalence increases with age. This chronic inflammation can adversely affect the structures of the eyelid including the tear glands, which can lead to chronic dry eye disease.

The symptoms of blepharitis are:
